Sawn & Structural Graded Carcassing Timber
Timber carcassing is the most commonly used form of timber. The majority of carcassing imported to the UK is kiln dried and graded at the sawmills to BS4878 strength classes C16 and C24. Most of the timber has been regularised to size adding an eased edge profile to the running edges of the timber.
A wide range of sizes and lengths are available from stock. The more unusual sizes are available to order. A range of CLS is available designed for internal stud work. To enhance the range of carcassing we carry a selection of the graded timber in a pressure treated tanalised finish as well as roof battens, path edgings, timber pegs, fence posts, softwood sleepers and feather edge boarding.
